The Congo Energy & Investment Forum (CEIF), scheduled for March 24–26, 2025 in Brazzaville, will feature a high-level panel discussion focused on the country’s Energy & Investment Outlook. The session will explore investment and regulatory dynamics in the Republic of Congo, highlighting strategies to transform the country’s natural resources into sustainable economic growth.
The panel will feature a keynote presentation by the Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (SNPC), offering insights into the nation’s investment landscape and long-term development goals. Joining the discussion will be Daoudou Mohammad, Director of Tax and Legal at CLG, and Adou Touré, Africa Investment Advisor at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, who will share perspectives on the financial and legal aspects of investment in the country.
The inaugural Congo Economic and Investment Forum, set for March 24-26, 2025 in Brazzaville, under the patronage of President Denis Sassou Nguesso and supported by the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Société National des Pétroles du Congo, will bring together international investors and local stakeholders to explore national and regional energy and infrastructure opportunities. The event will explore the latest gas-to-power projects and provide updates on ongoing expansions across the country.
The Energy & Investment Outlook session will provide a platform to discuss Congo’s approach to leveraging its abundant natural resources to stimulate economic growth. Topics will include the current investment climate, recent regulatory reforms and prospects within the oil, gas and power generation sectors. SNPC’s contribution will offer attendees a detailed overview of strategies to attract and sustain investment, ensuring the nation’s resource wealth translates into lasting prosperity.
Congo has taken proactive steps to enhance its energy sector’s appeal to investors. Notably, the government plans to launch a licensing round at CEIF 2025, targeting accelerated oil and gas exploration and production activities. Key gas monetization initiatives, including the Congo LNG and Banga Kayo projects, highlight the country’s dedication to advancing its energy infrastructure and diversifying revenue streams within the sector. These efforts position Congo as an increasingly competitive and attractive destination for global energy investments.
