Congolese firm Tinda Energy has secured a financial agreement with Chinese engineering company Complant to develop the Ignié 2021-2046 project, a 65 MW renewable energy initiative in the Republic of Congo.
Located in the Ignié Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the project will generate 55 MW from a hybrid solar power plant and an additional 10 MW from a biomass facility. It will cover a 100-hectare site allocated for renewable energy development within the SEZ. The timeline for completion is set at 18 months following the delivery of key equipment.
During recent talks with Congolese Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso, Tinda Energy CEO Yannick Jutta stated, "The hybrid system will enhance the capacity of Energie Electrique du Congo, our public utility partner, while also supplying power to the industrial and commercial park of Maloukou."
