The announcement was made in Turkey during a meeting between Congo’s Minister of International Cooperation and Promotion of Public-Private Partnerships, Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso and Turkish Airlines' Vice President for Africa, Hikmet Mesut Türkseven.

During the meeting, Minister Nguesso expressed his desire to continue discussions with the Turkish Ambassador to the Congo to increase cooperation in the transport sector and other areas of mutual interest.
