Electrification is driving prosperity across Congo’s urban and rural areas, as well as its manufacturing and industrial sectors, fostering economic growth and combating energy poverty. However, significant gaps persist, especially in the under-utilised potential of hydropower and mini/micro grids. This session will explore strategies to close these gaps, alternative sources of energy, highlighting the role of Congo’s hydropower-rich regions in advancing energy sustainability. With our panel of regional experts, we'll also look at the regional mandate of legal & regulatory policy and cross border electricity trade.
