Ahmed is the founder and CEO of Olive Energy, an integrated junior E&P company focused on the development of complex oil and gas fields in Africa. He set up Olive Energy regional headquarter in Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo where he started five divisions dealing with Exploration and Production, Drilling, Hydraulic Fracturing, Well Maintenance and Environmental Remediation.
Ahmed has been focusing lately on bringing to Africa new US technologies, drilling and hydraulic fracturing equipment, including those resulting from the unconventional revolution, to unlock the true potential of multiple conventional and unconventional assets in Africa.
Previously, Ahmed was the founder and CEO of multiple technology companies including FracGeo in Houston, Texas and Prism Seismic in Denver Colorado.
His previous E&P experience as VP Operations includes running the day to day activities of two Denver based independent oil and gas companies.
Ahmed graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris in Aerospace Engineering and holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Tech. He is the author of more than 100 technical papers on new reservoir modeling techniques that cover a wide range of multidisciplinary topics.
He teaches geoscience and engineering courses for multiple organizations and coaches young African professionals to become leaders and entrepreneurs.
