Anibor Kragha
Anibor Kragha serves as the Chief Executive of the African Refiners and Distributors Association (ARDA), where he leads the execution of the Association's core objectives on behalf of its 91 members across the continent. His work focuses on championing efficient, economic, and sustainable investments within the African downstream supply chain, promoting energy security in Africa, and developing a practical roadmap to transition Africa’s primary energy mix towards a more sustainable, lower-carbon footprint over time.
Before assuming his role at ARDA, Mr. Kragha was the Chief Operating Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)'s Refineries Directorate. In this capacity, he oversaw the operations of the four NNPC refineries, which have a total installed refining capacity of 445,000 barrels per stream day. He developed and secured financing for the refineries' rehabilitation plan and successfully coordinated the initiation of the Port Harcourt refinery complex rehabilitation project.
At NNPC, Kragha also served as the inaugural Group General Manager (GGM) - Treasury, managing treasury operations and inter-company funding arrangements for the NNPC Group. He played a key role in coordinating the implementation of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Treasury Single Account (TSA) initiative across all NNPC Strategic Business Units (SBUs).
Prior to his tenure at NNPC, Kragha spent 12 years at ExxonMobil, where he advanced through various roles in audit, commercial, and treasury functions in Nigeria and the United States. His final role at ExxonMobil was as the upstream treasurer for ExxonMobil affiliates in Nigeria, where he led the day-to-day operations of the organization’s treasury function.
Originally from Nigeria, Kragha began his career as a process engineer with Polaroid Corporation in the United States before completing MIT's Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) dual degree fellowship and returning to Nigeria in 2003. Outside of his professional roles, he dedicates considerable time to mentoring the next generation of energy professionals in Africa and enjoys fine dining, architecture, and interior design.
