Emike Akwiwu serves as a Senior Upstream Legal Analyst within the Energy Terms and Risk (EnTR) team at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Based in London, Ms. Akwiwu specializes in monitoring and analyzing legal and regulatory developments within the upstream sector across Sub-Saharan Africa. She is responsible for preparing legal reports for various countries within the region and contributes her expertise to consulting projects that require in-depth knowledge of regional upstream legal and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, Ms. Akwiwu has gained valuable experience in contract management during her tenure with Schlumberger in both Scotland and Nigeria. She holds a law degree from Nigeria and a Master of Laws in Petroleum Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy at the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom.
