Olive Energy Joins CEIF 2025 to Showcase Offshore Expansion, Asset Revitalization
Olive Energy’s CEO & Founder Ahmed Ouenes will unpack the company’s strategies for expanding offshore production at the Congo Energy & Investment Forum in 2025.
Junior and independent exploration and production (E&P) companies are increasingly driving growth in the Republic of Congo's hydrocarbon sector, as the country aims to boost production to 500,000 barrels per day by 2027. These players are essential in achieving this target through exploration efforts and expanded production capacity.
At the Congo Energy & Investment Forum (CEIF) 2025 in Brazzaville, the U.S.-based Olive Energy and its two Congolese subsidiaries will showcase the company’s ambitious approach to enhancing production from unconventional onshore and offshore reservoirs in the Republic of Congo. Olive Energy E&P, a subsidiary of the group, has joined the event as an elite sponsor, with the company’s CEO and founder, Ahmed Ouenes, set to deliver a keynote address.
The inaugural Congo Energy & Investment Forum, scheduled for March 25–26, 2025, in Brazzaville, will bring together international investors and local stakeholders to explore national and regional opportunities in energy and infrastructure. The event will highlight the latest gas-to-power transformation projects and provide updates on ongoing expansions across the country.
Since entering the Congolese market in 2019, Olive Energy, through its subsidiary Olive Energy Congo, has provided specialized oilfield services for developing unconventional reservoirs. Meanwhile, its operating subsidiary, Olive Energy E&P, focuses on the Tilapia II license, a potential $170 million project. Olive Energy E&P joined the Tilapia project in June 2024, aiming to stimulate production and attract strategic investments in the Republic of Congo.
The Olive Energy group has already established a strong partnership with the Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (SNPC) through its oilfield services provided by Olive Energy Congo and its operating activities on the Tilapia field via Olive Energy E&P. This collaboration has strengthened the group’s presence in the country’s oil sector. CEIF 2025 serves as a prime platform for upstream companies to showcase milestones, ongoing projects, and investment plans, opening new opportunities in Congo's upstream market.
During CEIF 2025, Mr. Ouenes will provide updates on the Tilapia project, outlining the critical role of investments in achieving the Republic of Congo’s production goals. His participation as a speaker and expert in unconventional reservoirs, along with Olive Energy's sponsorship, underscores the event’s significance as a global gathering point for the Republic of Congo's energy industry.
